He joined Cinco Energy Services in 2010, and has since become a Project Manager focusing on the Rockies District.

We would like to announce some exciting new members of the Cinco team. Paul Carlson and W. Scott Gravitt are honored additions as Land Managers to our regional offices in Appalachia and the Rockies. Their experience in and familiarity with their respective regions are a great asset to Cinco as we continue to expand

Feel free to contact Paul and Scott directly, or you can always call me at the Corporate Headquarters in Houston, TX.

Paul Carlson, Appalachia Division Land Manager

Mr. Carlson grew up in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, 50 miles east of Pittsburgh. He earned his BS in Business Administration from Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia. Mr. Carlson originally worked in healthcare, but became an Independent Landman in 2000, working in the Southern Tier of New York. He has worked throughout the Appalachian Basin with such companies as Range Resources, Dominion Transmission, Texas Keystone, and Pennsylvania General Energy. Before joining the Cinco team, Mr. Carlson was a Senior Landman with Penn Virginia Oil & Gas Corporation.

Mr. Carlson has a wide scope of experience and began his career in land as the first horizontal deep wells were being drilled in Appalachia. He has a well rounded skill set, having worked in land acquisition, land operations, title curative, deep horizontal projects, shallow well projects, and FERC regulated transmission projects. He is greatly experienced in running large horizontal projects from takeoff to unitization, managing over brokers and their Landmen. Mr. Carlson is a member of the AAPL and AAPL-MLBC.

W. Scott Gravitt, Rockies Division Land Manager

Mr. Gravitt earned a BA in Communications from the University of Houston and a JD from Southern Methodist University-Dedman School of Law. Scott began his career as an independent Landman with Cinco Energy Services in 2005, working projects in California and East Texas. He returned to Cinco in October, 2011, as the Rockies Division Land Manager after several years in-house with Rosetta Resources, Inc., and Enerplus Resources (USA) Corp.

His experiences as both an in-house and field Landman have prepared Mr. Gravitt to manage a wide array of projects, including due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures, lease checks and lease plays and seismic projects, regardless of a project’s geographic location. He is also experienced in drafting various documents such as JOA’s and farmouts/farmins, and he truly enjoys working with industry partners as well as landowners and other stakeholders in various Oil and Gas projects. Scott is a member of the DAPL and AAPL.
